No hot water

Please someone help me!!!!!!
I have a worcester boiler and the past week it has taken a good 5-10 mins for the hot water to come out of the taps, even alot longer to come from the shower. I tried to have a shower this morning and the hot water didnt come through after 20 mins, i managed to get about 5 jugs of luke warm water from the bath tap, and that was all. The heating is working fine, just seems to be the hot water!!!
Someone has told me that it could be a three way lever valve, but he is not a plumber and i dont know whether he is right.
Please can someone help me with this.
