No pilot light on Chaffoteaux et Maury Sterling PP combi

The pilot light will not ignite on a Chaffoteaux et Maury Sterling PP combi boiler. Power and gas are getting to the boiler and pressure is being maintained but the ignitor will not spark the pilot. Can anyone give any suggestions as to the likely causes which I can check. Many thanks in advance.

I would advise you get and RGI who doesnt mind working on these POS's

Fair enough and thanks for the response Corgiman but what could the likely cause or causes of the problem be, so at least I have some idea of what the RGI is talking about

its probably just the thermocouple
