No PIR's working

He reckoned that all of our detectors have the same fault and we will need to replace the whole system. He is now working on a quote for a new alarm system for our large school.
Oddly enough I had to respond to an alarm event last weekend where a dt activated in one of our stores - false alarm, but shows that some must still be working.

Doesn’t sound right to me ....ok some detectors do suffer from sunlight affecting the lens ....push your finger on the lens if it starts cracking ( brittle ) that’s your problem if it’s still flexible then it’s not that

what material is it made from? Come to think of it, a lot of our dts are in internal corridors with only artificial lighting
