I have alot of noise after the hot taps have been run. I have fitted a new ballcock in the header tank which has made no difference. When i watch the header tank filling up i can see the water running pure then it fizzes like a lot of air is in it (this is when the noise accurs) then back to pure water till the ballcock switches the flow off. Please could someone advise me on how to cure this problem as the noise is driving me mental.
Thanks

Do you have a water softener installed? If so have it checked out.

Do you have a booster pump on the cold water feed to the storage tank? If so that could be sucking in air.

Hi.. could be the new ballcock is faulty. I have had a few lately that have been worse than the old one. Vibrating like mad just as they shut off.
Worth a look.
