We are building up above a garage. We have always had an electric motor for the door. The motor is bolted to 4 metal straps which are screwed into a few foists in the garage ceiling.
In the garage it does not seem too noisy at all, BUT when you are in the new room the few vibrations and the motor sound are a lot more noticable.
Is there a way to "sound proof" the fixings with something like rubber inserts?
