noisy gas cooker

Just had a new gas cooker fitted and when i use the grill there is a loud howling noise which varies as you turn the gas up and down.

The cooker is obviously under warranty, but just curious as to what it might be..

Will be a surface combustion burner, safe to use but will need a new burner to get rid of the noise.
