Hi, I have just had new 'single lever' taps fitted in our bathroom,
but when the lever is in the middle they are very noisy.
When the lever is to just hot it runs much slower than before.
I'm told this is normal - is it ?

I don't think the taps were 'cheap' (Serie Eleven from TC).

Could the problem be imbalance in water pressures (Hot is gravity fed from header but I think cold is mains).

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Richard.

Don't know about the noise but slow hot is probably because they are designed to work on mains pressure. Usually instructions state minimum pressure to use them on.

Thanks for the prompt reply :)

I was warned about hi/lo pressure types, so the taps fitted should be for low pressure (for the gravity fed hot water).
Can't understand why the hot water is now significantly slower than on the normal taps

I'm further confused on the hi/lo issue as the cold is mains pressure ..... I thought maybe this is causing the noise problem if the mixer can't cope.

ooohhhh I just don't understand
