I want to move a door in my utility room which involves building a small new wall in 100mm Bradstone blocks (about 1000mm wide). For various reasons I can't build a cavity wall, it will have to be two Bradstone blocks thick, 200mm.

As there will be no cavity should I insert a vertical membrane between the two Bradstone blocks as I build the wall to stop rain water penetration to the inside?

Thanks for any help.

No. Just bring it up as 2 skins, so in effect it will be the same as a traditional 1 brick thick (9") solid wall. How are you going to finish the internal skin?
