Newspaper sellotaped, or thinned emulsion paint?
Windowlene is what was used in my younger days.
As above, Windowlene was often used. I just use blue tape and lining paper.
Do not use regular masking tape, the sun light will make the adhesive go rock hard. Blue tape is often safe for over a week (often longer).
