Oil change

Any advice on the best quality engine oil for Citroen berlingo 1.9 diesel non turbo, thanks

You'll need 5 litres of a semi synthetic 15/40 B3 grade oil, Mark......there are many makes out there, Millers XFE and Comma Eurodiesel being two of the best.
Use a quality filter, too and a new sump seal washer is a good move.

I have used the Comma oil for years, about £13 in Trago Mills, does the job just as well as the more expensive stuff.

as suggested something from a motor factors from comma or carlube etc will be fine. My local b&q stocks carlube 10/40 semi for around £15

For maximum engine life, even these days its accepted that to change the oil more frequently than recommended is a good move....for my own Berlingo DW8, its 6k.
(Pity then, no matter how well you look after it, its still worth nowt )

I will go along with that, I am sure that many turbo failures on modern diesels are down to overly long service intervals, I reckon about half the recommended mileage would be about right.
