My oil fired boiler, booms, when it fires up.
I have renewed the nozzle and adjusted the electrode gap, any suggestions as to the cause of the 'booming' when it fires up?

Delayed ignition, are you 100% sure you set the electrodes as per manufacture spec?

Over aired? Yuo should get a good oil fired burner engineer to have a look as without an oil pressure gauge & flue gas analyser you will be "guestimating" ;)
