Hi,

My Danesmoor 15 19 has developed an oil leak. I have checked all unions and have concluded these are OK. Please can someone suggest where this boiler might be leaking from? There is a small amount of kerosine in the base and a smell in the house. Smell is definitely oil, NOT fumes. Thanks

Mike

Check flexible hose itself. Then it could be from fuel pump stem (under solenoid) or where it couples to motor. If only when firing check connections after pump.

No. 1 - the shut off cock inside the boiler casing
No. 2 - the flexible pipe from shut off cock to burner.
No. 3 - the pressure adjustment screw on the side of the pump (never had a problem with these until 3 this year  ).
Either way, you should be able to trace any leak using kitchen roll or tissues.
John :)
