old 2.9mm2 cables

Can anyone tell me what the size of the earth is in one of these older cables ( I couldn't get at the earth to measure it)

You mean 7/.029 = 2.90mm²??

Not sure! Looked in the regs, and can't find it!
 
well it was seven strands at 0.72mm diameter, which calculates out at close to 2.9mm2
 
Yeah, that's right. 7 strands of .029" diameter each strand.

But that's for the phase conductors. The cpc is thinner...

3/029 = 1.27mm²

You'll have to do the calc as the 'recipes' in standard circuits in oSG assume 2.5/1.5...
