Morning guys,
Quick query which im sure someone will easily resolve.
A friend has just moved house and inherited an old central heating system and has a problem with scalding water.
(he is having it all serviced next weekend)
the system has a glowworm fuelsaver boiler which is set to come on in the morning and evening on hot water and heating. The room stat is curently turned down to 10 and is not coming on obviously due to tempersature.
The system has Two pumps wired into it one running for hot water and one obviously for central heating. But NO valves. ( i am unfamiliar with these sytems)
The cylinder stat is a fairly old one with a dial set to 60 degrees, However after the boiler running for an hour or so the hot water from the taps is almost scalding, he has tried turning the stat down and confirmed he hears NO click.
Im assuming this is more than likely the cylinder stat faulty, not telling the boiler to turn off when it reaches temperature.
any insight into the fault and this system would be appreciated
