Hi I have 7 radiators working fine, but one which seems to take much longer to get hot. When checking the flow pipe it is very hot, but return you can hold your hand on for much longer say 2 minutes. Other radiators you will burn yourself. Flushed the rad, nothing but clean clear water with inhibitor in. Balance flow and return on boiler, still the same problem.

Could it be the thermostatic valve sticking.

Hope someone can help.

hi is the trv on the same side as the pipe that gets hot ??? because if its an old type valve it needed to go on the flow so if its a newer type
with reverse flow its prob a pin sticking in, just remove the top and tap the pin a few times and see if it comes out on its own a bit further if it works try a bit of lubrication on the pin where it goes into the body and replace the top,

Thanks Gasmick 2 but all the stats are new. One other thing when I turn off one of the new kitchen radiators, the other radiator that isn't getting hot quickly goes cold, then when the stat is turned back on the other picks up heat. The lockshield side never gets very warm though on the affected radiator. Could it be that this radiator has been piped up in series and not in parallel.
