Just a point that the laptop may have come with a recovery partition as well. This allows you to restore to factory settings without the need for disks.
Depending upon the make and model of your laptop, when you first power up the machine hit F11 (this may be different with yours) on the keyboard repeatedly until the recovery screen pops up. Click on advanced options, click system recovery, then click OK when prompted. the recovery process will begin, then you must reinstall everything that isn't factory installed.
NOTE: THIS WILL ERASE ALL DATA THAT ISN'T PREINSTALLED.
ONCE THE RECOVERY PROCESS STARTS, IT CANNOT BE STOPPED, OR THE SYSTEM WILL GET CORRUPTED.
