Guys,

Im building a "Garden room" (or posh shed !) in my garden and have got to a point where I dont know what order to do the next jobs in. Its 4m x 5.5m with a pitched roof facing forward, gable ends to the sides. The walls are up, the roof structure(ratfers, felt and batten) is up. Ideally I want to make the building water tight now so I want to get the roof on and the doors in etc.
Now........ do I need to render the outside walls first before I put the fascias and slates on etc or can I render afterwards? I dont want to end up making the rendering job more fiddly by putting the fascias and tiles on etc.
Let me know what you think. Hopefully it wont make one bit of difference :)
Cheers.

render it last.

one would normally render up to a soffit.

the last thing you want to do is spoil the facade, by knocking it with trestles or damage it with a vent knock through.

Cheers noseall !! :D

Im glad to hear that....it means I can get on with it. Im finding it difficult to get someone to render the walls and am dreading having to do it myself. I can do small jobs ok but the side walls with gable ends are a bit too big for me to do. Not being a professional, I would be way too slow !
