outside glazed ?

Good evening all,
My next door neighboor has just had all the house fitted with new upvc windows, and everyone was glazed from the outside, I thought this was not the done thing these days, (security).?
any information would be much appreciated, thanks.

Externally glazed windows are not as common as they used to be, but if they are glazed with security tape or wedge gasket are quite safe. The only reason why a company would want to make all windows externally glazed is because they do not have to invest in a seperate rerverse-butt welder to make them.
