Have noticed that there are a number of questions relating to this issue but just would like to clarify a couple of things if anyone can help...

I Need to install separate Oven and Hob in a fairly modern house with recent wiring.

1. There is already a 6mm Cable running from a 30A CU into the kitchen of which I was going to connect the 7.2 Kw Hob using a suitable cooker switch.

I am assuming this to be more than adequate as it will be on its own radial circuit?

This leave me with the oven

2. I was going to take a 13A fused Spur off the ring main and connect the oven using suitable flex to the spur?
The Ring is on a 30A and currently provides power to all of downstairs...

Any clarity would be gratefully received.

Many Thanks

no problem using the 6mm for the hob, what is the rating of the oven ? You may be ok depending on the rating, a lot of domestic oven only are on 13A pt it all depends on the size.
