I have a Hotpoint RFS60 fridge/freezer which has taken to over-flowing with water from the fridge section which then leaks into the freezer.

The tube that runs down the back that's supposed to take the water away gets blocked which is why this happens, so if I de-frost the whole thing then it clears the tube and it's ok for a few days.

Does anyone know if this is fixable or, in today's disposable society, is it a chuck-away job?

tip some hot water down the hole and use a pipe cleaner to unblock hole the hole must be cleaned otherwise it will block again,

and have a look round the back where the pipe empties out into its evaporation dish. It may be full of dirt and mould.

if you are getting a great deal of frost and condensation in the fridge, the door seals may be leaking and letting moist air in.

Thanks both - Tried the hot water and no luck, so went for the full defrost as that's the only thing that seems to clear it and have tried to clean out... let's see if any luck this time!
