hi. if a combi boiler was overgassed would the c/h and h/w simply get to temprature quicker and not neccessarily trip overheat/high limit stats? nots not on my acs im sure but just curious
I could be wrong, and usually are But Most combi's now are of a moduluating type! Overgassing doesn't present a problem as zero governor on gas valve, or pressure regulator on standard gas valve regulates gas pressure to operating requirements! Over gassing tends to give a you a boom (possibly flying flue terminals and sharpnel on isars, icos etc ) and slight bending of boiler casings upon combustion. A high limit/over heat stat activates at a set temp. Over gassed/ under gassed the stat still works at it's fail safe point. Thats it's job
