Hi folks.

Can someone give me an idea of best way to paint MDF. I have just had some "boxing in" done with MDF & want the finished coat to be with Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell (White).

I'm assuming an undercoat would be necessary ... how many coats, sanding in between etc ??

Any advice would be appreciated ;)

Prime it, lightly rub it, if necessary prime again.
I got a good finish on my radiator covers.

I normally use thinned out oil based undercoat for priming it..it doesnt raise the 'grain' as much as water based stuff.

Rub down with 120 paper then coat with whatever you like..a hard foam roller gives a nice finish.
