I know there are threads on this already, but most seem to focus on solid wood units. Mine are the typical B&Q melamine type. These units are in my utility room so dont have to be perect but dont want them to look a mess.

So the questions are - what type of prep is needed (sanding? primer?) , what finish (special kitchen unit paint or Dulux Satinwood Gloss ok?) and what application method (gloss roller? paint pad?)

Any advice appreciated!

Sand & 2-3 coats of oil-based eggshell (prime first with Zinsser B.I.N if you want guaranteed adhesion)
