Hi all.

Recently I have plastered two corners inside my house as they were in terrible condition. Having no experience with this sort of thing, I applied a metal corner bead and used Easi-Fill to plaster the corners.

However, after building up the coats and sanding, there is still a metal line on the outermost point of the bead. The job looks pretty good now and I'm not confident in my ability to be able to plaster over this line. My question is, can I paint over this line and will the paint stick?

I will be using regular emulsion. I was thinking of giving the whole corner a coat of Zinsser Bin as I have an unused tin of it, as a primer, and painting the emulsion on to that after. Does this sound like a good idea?

I hope this makes sense, if not I can get some pictures up. Any help will be much appreciated, thanks.

The beading is galvanised so you can paint over it but as you've got some bin give it a quick coat as sometimes the paint can look darker over beading.
For future ref it may be easier to just hold a straight edge against the corner as you fill

Thanks for your help Dcdec. Straight edge, didn't think of that!
