Hello,

redecorating our whole house, starting with the bedroom.

I removed the wallpaper and under that there was a load of flaking old paint (not lead, phew!), so I decided to sand it all off.

I now have a nice smooth wall and although the plaster is probably 20 or more years old, it seems in good condition (not sure how long plaster lasts, but either way I couldn't afford to have it re-done at the moment).

I have read that with new plaster you need to give it a mist coat first. would that apply to my situation?

Thanks for you help,

Jon
