I am about to strip off a lounge covered in wood chip. There will be a little filling to do etc.

How to a prepare the walls for white emulsion finish ?

I think i need to sand and clean with sugar soap, but would i use a primer paint. I have seen the acrylic primers would this be ok on plaster walls ?

Really not sure what i put on the walls to prepare for final paint.

If the walls are bare plaster, you only need to use a diluted coat of white emulsion to seal and create a bond between the paint and walls. Before doing this, you will need to make sure all traces of old paste are removed and that any cleaning agent is thoroughly rinsed off - you are then fine to proceed with the painting - or you could just use a coat of Gardz.
