Could anyone tell me if its possible to paint over wood preservative. I have recently built a small stable door from cladding and coated it with wickes high performance wood preserver which contains wax. Im now wishing i had painted it to match some windows but is it now not possible? thinking a good rub down then oil based primer, undercoat and top coat but don't want to ruin the door unless it can be done. Thanks to anyone that can reply. DAN.
