Painting rattan or wicker drawers

Hello everyone!

I've searched high and low in vain for a unit like this (see pic) with white drawers.

So, my only option seems to be to buy this one and paint the drawers.

Is this crazy, or can it be done?

And if so, what kind of paint and technique should I use?

Spray paint is the answer, either a handful of tins something like Plasticote from the DIY store or buy a basic spray gun.
Wear a good mask designed for paint mist use.

You only really need to spray the fronts and an inch or so down each side as paint on the inner part will scrape off in use anyway.
