Painting Tarmac Problem

I have a tarmac garage floor that gets very dusty and so I am thinking of
painting it but have been told I cannot use just any old paint as it will
react with the tarmac.
Its not really a high traffic area and there will be no cars parked in there as its too narrow so what paint can I use ?
Does it have to be the mega expensive specialist paints
they use on playgrounds?
All I want is to keep the dust down a bit.

Tarmac is usually tar based and as such only certain things will cover it. It may bleed through certain topcoats you put on. There are specific products that you can use to paint driveways black again.

Look up promain - they do a water based driveway paint. about £30 for 5 litres which covers 30-45m2.

John Loudon McAdam invented a road construction method called macadamisation. is that what you meant ?
