Apologies in advance if this has been asked in a previous mail string.

I have old reclaimed hardwood parquet floor tiles that are approx 20mm thick. I would like to lay them directly onto quarry tiles (in the hall of the house) that are dry, stable, and level. The total area is approx 10-11 sqM and I really dont want to dig it all out and relay a concrete base unless I absolutely have to.

Can/should I do this, and if so, what precautions/preparations should I take/do?

Thanks in advance.

Don't think any of the modern adhesive will hold on your quarry tiles, so they either have to come up or you have to ply over it (12mm ply)
