Hi
I thought that I would share a recent project, bored in lockdown, I made from fence gravel boards.
A patio table & chairs and a double seat with table.
I was going to use pallet wood but problems with my back prevent me from, painlessly, breaking pallets, so I decided to use Fence Gravel Boards which are suprisingly cheap IF purchased from specialist fencing timber suppliers NOT diy stores !
I buy 3.6 meter lengths of 150 x 22 mm for less than £5 and 100 x 22 mm for less than £4
Which has the advantage of allowing me to cut the lengths I need rather than the "usable" lengths from a broken pallet. I would rather pay around £5 than spend the time breaking a pallet anyway
I finished this project by charring the wood for a nice effect and sealing with yacht varnish.
Hope you like the result, my wife did so that's all that matters really LOL.
Roy
