Hi all,

Have just bought a new property and am slowly getting things into order, however, I've never had to tend to patios before and thought I would ask for advice on mine.

It's a dual level patio from the back of the house into the garden, the upper level outside the house seems to have suffered from neglect and the cement between the joints is either missing or loose, also the bricks used between the two levels are crumbling quite spectacularly.

So, what to do? Is there a reasonable fix for these things? DIY Doctor has a fix that reads like it might be what I need for the slabs - but the bricks are a bigger concern.

the slabs need re-pointing but the bricks sound like they are the wrong class and are spalling due to frost. If that is the case they are un-repairable.

A few photo's would help
