I was trying to think of a neutral subject that we all could relate to......it probably won't get too far. But here goes...

I have 3 cats......."they are my kids"--don't you hate it when people say that?

i have pet rats that i have to kill everyday and i take great pride in my job has i am looking for promotion from cheif rat catcher to feild mousel rat catcher. Little do you know its war oiut there on the streets early morning and i am winning the battle.

;) well that explains it.....you might try a snake ---a big one....but it would interfere with the promo, I expect.

I have 4 Mad as a hatter Collies that keep me sane :D

not all folks are "pet" people, but I think they're missing out.

I have 2 cats, one scarred old tom, minus his nadgers, but still very tom cat in his ways and another cat that lives outside and won't come in the house. I don't know if it male or female. It's fur about a foot thick and it won't keep still long enough for the vet to find out and it's so neurotic you can't tell from it's personality

something unheathy about 'pets' animals in the wild are great working dogs like I think freddies are ? great, something fluffy for you to control and stroke yuk! dodgy.

Dont they have silly laws in America about cats? I visited a house in Florida once, and they had a pet cat, but they had to keep it chained up outside the house . . . You're allowed to let them roam freely here - thats how they socialise. Seems a bit cruel to keep them chained up. Not worth having a cat if thats what you have to do.

Yes one thing i have noticed is that some people who dont have any kind of pets are very pompus and have this idea that they are superior to everyone else, living in a kind of fantasy world of their own making, prpbably because in reality they are so insecure.

Just an observation thats all.
yes.....I can see where some would probably benefit, except the poor animals would probably suffer, although it has been my experience, that the rudest/crudest sometimes have fluffy little dogs that they kiss on the mouth and call "sweetie".......now that's a picture.....

good idea keeping them chained up, they distroy too much wildlife, real problems in Australia with cats introduced by white settlers BUT we used to have cats and never had rats.
