hi all
i have a glowworm ultimate 50ff, the pilot light will not shut off it is constantly burning even with the electricity to the boiler turned off, i can only turn it off by turning the gas to the boiler off, when the gas is turned back on you can here it escaping from the pilot light, would this be a problem with the multi functional control as in one of the valves is stuck open - what do you think?

It sounds like a faulty gas valve but more importantly it is very dangerous.

Turn off the gas, and get it repaired asap.

HI

the gas coming out from pilot should stop with a click usually in about 60 seconds which would prove that gas valve safety device is working.
if gas continue to flow for longer period than gas valve need replacing

this is not a perm pilot boiler with a thermocouple

agree the gas valve nakkered, turn it off and get a pro in.
