pilot light

hi can anyone help
i have one of the old gas fire with the back boiler and never had a problem,unltil now
i put the heating on it fired up then once its hot enough the pilot light went out as well as that big long thing.
sorry i dont know what thing are called
i managed to light it again then it happened again
the flame is blue with a yellow top

Teenage son? They go out a lot...

COuld be you need a thermocouple and a service, but definitely a corgi job on one of those boilers. These DO need frequent servicing.
