Hi all,

I woke up this morning and noticed that the radiators were only warm not hot, they were timed to come on a good two hours before I got up. Upon quick inspection of the boiler I noticed there was no pilot light lit. I tried to relight using the prescribed methods on the back of the boiler door, but there was no sign of life, not even a spark.

when I play with the thermostat on the wall i can hear something being energised when i move it upto a certain temp therefore i think the power supply to the boiler may be ok.

any ideas??????????? :(

what boiler is it?....is it a permanent pilot light?

it is an ideal standard boiler. It doesn't matter now I managed to fix it. I took the starter off and noticed the wire leading to the ignition was broken, so after replacing this all was ok.  no expensive heating engineers bills!
