PILOT LIGHT

I was told there was a 5 volts potential difference between the ground and the neutral wires. A drop of water on them would trigger RCB to trip off.

I have a scenario when I accidentaly drip water from the CH drain ( some clever builder fitted it just above the boiler) onto a terminal block inside the boiler (not running and power off) and the CB was tripped.

I bet that Moughty is lighting a candle to read all these replies in the cold! :)

My second guess is that there is a water leak in the circulating pump causing a fault to earth which trips your RCD.

What's my prize?

The prize you can have is the old pump and probably a drink from Mougly
