I was told there was a 5 volts potential difference between the ground and the neutral wires. A drop of water on them would trigger RCB to trip off.
I have a scenario when I accidentaly drip water from the CH drain ( some clever builder fitted it just above the boiler) onto a terminal block inside the boiler (not running and power off) and the CB was tripped.
I bet that Moughty is lighting a candle to read all these replies in the cold!
