Pilot won't stay lit???

My pilot went out, managed to get it on again as soon as i let go of the button it went straight out, it has now been thoroughly cleaned and lights ok, flame as it should be but as soon as the button is fully out it goes out again/ any ideas???? would really appriciate anyones help. thanks janine. :confused:

the thermocouple has gone to that great gas burner in the sky

it is an ex thermocouple

if it wasn't screwed in your boiler it would be pushing up dasies

Thanks kev, and pals. So, would i be right in thinking it might be the thermocoupler then? :) is this a big job?? or do i have to get someone out? fingers crossed janine
 
Thanks again. is the thermocouple the heat sensor and how close should it sit to the flame. janine :confused:
 
I wasn't digging BTW.

Someone asks a simple question, it gets answered. and then all of a sudden it turns into a slanging match
