Pine floorboards onto concrete

Sponsored Links
You're planning to buy pine floorboards that are normally installed directly onto joists to create a (soft-wood) underfloor on which other floorcovering is installed.

No. There would be no floor covering over the floorboards. So is it better to use a hard wood in this case? Is it possible to use a soft wood or not?

Oh, it's possible but the soft wood pine will dent, damage etc very easily. Plus pine can turn orangy when a natural finish is applied.
