Has anyone used the Wickes "Metal Epoxy" Repair Putty on C/H pipes?

I have a leaking pipe which is very difficult to repair properly without removing a few other lengths of pipe. This stuff can be used on plumbing repairs, leaking pipes, radiators and tanks. It bonds permanently to aluminium, brass, copper, steel, fibreglass, glass, ceramic, wood and most hard plastics.

I can see it being a good short-term solution but wondered if it would really last.

No idea but you will probably have to do it properly at some point in the future. ;)

You might as well do it now while you are minded to. :D

would you have enough room for a pipeslice to cut a small lenght out and use a telescopic pushfit to reconnect?

you're right.
I reworked some of the pipes and added some drain off valves. My original two leaks is now three.
At least I can drain the pipes now and make proper repairs.
