placing dishwasher on topo of washing machine

As my kitchen is very small, I placed my compact dishwasher on top of my washing machine -- with no problems whatsoever (the washer is MIELE - very stable). I would now like to change it for a bigger model - the only alternative is a slimline dishwasher. Can I put it on top of my washing machine? Slimline dishwashers are a bit heavier than compacts but no heavier that dryers (which are often stacked on top of washing machines).
