We have just stripped down the attic in our new house and found the styrophoam plates on the roof. We want to insulate the attic properly now and wondering if we could keep the styrophoam and place the fibreglass wool on top of it? Or is it not such a gtreat idea?
The first option is to place the wool horizontaly under the wooden structure you can see on the picture.
The second option is to nail some new wooden boards on top of isomo and place wool vertically between them.
Any of those two make any sense?
Also one of the smaller beams needs to be replaced. Do you think it is doable by newbies (like me) or should this be done by a professional?
Thanks in advance.
