Once planning permission has been granted can you start the work immediately or do you have to wait until you receive further instructions from the building regs department ?

Also. do you have to forward a copy of your drawings to the building regs department ?

The only condition is materials to match existing. Would you happen to know if building control need to have a copy of the drawings too ?

Building control don't need the planning drawings - they would normally need a different set with all the technical details and sectional views on them

Why a BN and not a FP?

Anyway, back to the OP's question... you would need to submit a BR application. You can start works once the application has been submitted, providing your LABC are happy with it.
