Thanks for all the previous advice and sorry about this, but I have another stupid question. Is it OK to put bonding on top of plasterboard before skimming? I know that the point of plasterboard is to cut out the bonding process but I needed to bring it all out another 10mm or so to get level with the wall. I've also put bonding over water resistent plasterboard in the bathroom as a base for tiling.... will it all collapse?

Thanks in advance
Gustav

did you pva the moisture resistant boards? if it fails this is the problem. bonding it sound on top of plasterboards, make sure you key the floating coat to take the finish.
