plasterboard the wrong way round

I have just completed dry-lining my extension using the dot and dab method. I intend to have this skimmed. However I have just noticed that I have fitted the plasterboard with the light grey (decorating side) facing out by mistake. I realise that I should have had it the other way round for plastering.
The question is will it be possible to still skim this? Is there any special preparation need to prepare this side for skimming with finish plaster?
Appreciate any advice anybody can give

Thanks Thermo.
Breezer - haven't found a plasterer yet otherwise I would've done the obvious. I just wanted to know now whether it was a no-no or not so I could re-do it if absolutely necessary.
