Plastic clips:
Cheap.
Ugly.
Very difficult to remove without moving the pipe first.
Can clip trunking to them (but it's not much of an improvement on the clips, TBH).
Munsen ring:
Not actually that expensive.
A joy to behold.
Easy to remove without moving pipe.
Harder to hide (but why would you want to?)

Thanks. In this instance pipework is (for the most part) concealed behind finishes, so hidden and unlikely to be moved about. So, I suppose the question is chiefly about relative performance and cost (labour and materials).
The plastic clips I've seen only need one fixing screw, so obviously they're quicker/easier than a munsen ring.
