Hi,

I was cleaning my window frames today and noticed they had sliding bits of plastic in the frames. I was thinking they're something to do with trickle vents, but they could be anything. Anyone know what they're for?

Thanks in advance!

Bloody dodgy coldseal windows thats what they are :D , no seriously, they're called run up blocks and they're used to locate the opener central in the frame when closing, they insisted on fitting them to anything and everything

Crank. Aren't they just transit packers to keep the sashes true during shipping? I only ever get them on heavy french pairs and just rip em out when heeling and toeing

I've never heard that one before and judging the prices for them in these links i wouldn't have thought they were a chuck away item but you never know, i personally hate them and remove as soon as i see them, they foul the sash and give the impression that somethings out of line, arrrghhhhh horrible nasty things
