I have laid a screed in an apartment 70m2. I'm happy with the result - smooth to the touch. Now I want to polish it up to look really shiney (its quite dull looking at the moment). I've been looking all over the internet to find the best technique for this. Someone mentioned pumice stone - but I'm sure that would take ages - and where would you buy pumice stone at a size that would be practical to polish this floor area? Someone else said use diamond pads.

Can anyone please give some advice?

Cheers. Earl.

unless the screed has been purposely mixed with polishing in mind, then i would be inclined to lay some shiny tiles.

Thanks for the advice...

Anyone else have real experience in polishing up a screeded floor?

I have now found a polishing tool DS 130? that I sourced on the net but this is a specialist polishing tool and costs around £1000 plus and needs to be brought in from the States. I'm sure there are other options

Any good suggestions would be really appreciated.

Cheers. Earl
