Hi Everyone
Over the past six months bulbs have been blowing some times popping the glass out and leaving the metal piece in the pendent . Happens down stairs and up stairs both on own circuit on rewirable fuses
What would cause this

what sort[normal led low energy]
what type [spot globe candle]

what rating is the fixing/shade[max 40w example]
how many watts are the bulbs

1) Bad batch of bulbs.

2) Excess voltage.

3) Overhead (TT) supply with inherently high inductance.

By the way, you should have posted this in the Electrics forum. Maybe the mods will move it for you. :) :) :)

I have this problem at work, with 40w candle bulbs (the screw in type). Almost every day, there's at least one or two came away from the screw in fitting. Can't be a faulty batch either as I've tried buying replacements from different manufacturers. Electrician has checked the circuits and these are fine. I reckon it must be due to poor manufacturing techniques these days.
